Hi Guys! While looking for cool places to visit on upcoming holidays, such as Easter, I discovered these eco-friendly hotels.
An ecological hotel is a place in which its structures and programs were designed to cause the least possible impact on our planet, in this case our country. So guys, if you decide to take a tour of these places you should go with an open mind to experience new sensations, which you will not be able to get in a 5-star hotel, such as a room on top of a tree or another that only uses natural light.
Here I leave a list with the prices, their location, you can see and check all the prices.
1. 1. Tubagua
It is located in Puerto Plata, and it is another good option to get closer to nature. You have the option of staying in a shared room from US $ 25 or renting a private room from US $ 60 and up.
Tubagua Ecolodge Puerto Plata is the ideal gateway for independent travelers in the Dominican Republic. Located in the spectacular Cordillera del Norte that runs along the Dominican north coast, Tubagua is surrounded by pure nature but still conveniently close to everything; just 20 minutes from the Puerto Plata International Airport, city and beaches.
Ecolodge Tubagua Puerto Plata is also close to Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, located an hour away along the picturesque mountain road “Ruta Panoramica” (Rt. 25). Santiago is located in the fertile Cibao Valley, the heart of the tobacco country of the Dominican Republic. Located between Santiago and Tubagua Ecolodge are the amber mines of which are some of the best amber in the world. A trip to the amber mines makes for a fascinating day trip for visitors to Tubagua. Ecolodge Tubagua is known for its excellent home-cooked meals and its friendly owners who help their guests with their travel plans throughout the Dominican Republic.
2. 2. Dominican
Tree House Village
This place is even more impressive when you get there, there you can sleep in the most organic / natural way. Room prices start at US $ 295 per night.
* Each room must be rented for a minimum of two nights.
Dominican Tree House Resort has created a place like no other you have seen before. Our accommodations are raised above the ground in tree houses. Rope bridges and meandering trails connect the tree house cabins with secluded ponds and pools. Our outdoor design allows you to immerse yourself in your surroundings with the gentle breeze caressing your skin and the sound of the rustling leaves whispering in your ear. It is magical and it is waiting for you.
3. Unique Eco Hotel
This beautiful place is located in Samaná. Not only does it invite you to spend an eco-friendly stay, but it transports you like another dimension due to its exquisite amenities. Prices start at US $ 200 per night.
4. 4. Paraíso
Caño Hondo
This hotel, is quite rustic, is located in Sabana de la Mar, Hato Mayor. Prices start at US $ 340 for two people per night.
Rustic place where you can get in touch with nature!
This place is divided into two: Paraíso Cano Hondo and Altos de Cano Hondo. The difference is that Altos, as its name indicates in Spanish, is higher than the other so it has better views. It's only $ 10 more so it's worth it. All rooms are immaculate, there is hot water, fans and they are very spacious.

5. 5 Fabulous
Village Ecological Resort
La Vereda, Naranjo Dulce Arriba, San Francisco de Macoris 31006 Dominican Republic.
It is a wonderful place which I have already visited. The services are excellent, the food is good, the staff is motivated and committed. They have a special attention to detail and I loved their concern for the environment. It was a sublime experience.
You can enjoy Zipline, natural pool, a beautiful view away from the city and above all a delicious meal.

Packages that I can offer you. Because I consider them to be the best places I have visited so far.
Why do I recommend you go out and take trips even for a few hours?
Because the best way to accumulate experiences is by leaving home, even if it is around the corner, and it can change our perspective on countless things. There are numerous investigations that coincide in listing certain positive effects of traveling, such as:
- Stimulates the brain thanks to the novelty and adventure it entails. Body and mind are renewed and move away from worries, filling our imagination with memories that we will evoke in the future.
- Broadens perspectives and generates a more positive vision of life.
- Provides greater cultural, historical, geographical and social knowledge, offering the opportunity to soak up the richness of other areas.
- Helps develop skills and build confidence; a trip teaches you to know yourself and revalue yourself.
As my own experience, I am not recommending that we go crazy and spend all our money on trips, but sometimes we kill ourselves working and that little money that we never dared to spend goes away in the blink of an eye with things that we did not even imagine we would. would pass. I am just saying that we are not millionaires working and inhibiting ourselves from going out, in the end we will grow old and the most certain thing is that we have the money to leave but the strength, the desire and our youth are already gone and today will never be like tomorrow.
Places that I have visited and I can recommend 100%
Big Beach Puerto Plata
Cayo arena
It is a totally different place where you can enjoy a little of the marine fauna, since we can swim with the fish and feed them. If you are not a big fan of trips in yolas, you can choose to stay on the beach, it is very quiet, there are many places to eat and drink so staying on the shores of the beach will not be a mistake either.
Amber
Cove
It is located in Puerto Plata, it is a place where ferries arrive and where some foreigners usually stay, it has a large square full of shops and restaurants. It has a swimming pool and recreational area for children.
Santiago de los Caballeros Model Market.
If what you want is just to take a little walk and eat something delicious, I recommend this place, on the ground floor it is something like “Una Pulga” all cheap, but on the second level there is a small restaurant that is set in the old Dominican style , with a lot of relics that perhaps in the 80s were common in our country; quiet music, good food and drink, if you want you can spend your time looking at what they sell around the market.
Waterfall of “Aguas Blancas” Constanza.
This is a slightly tiring trip, it is perfect for adventurous people who the further or difficult the trip is, the more they enjoy it; Like me!!.
Located on a plateau, the Aguas Blancas waterfall, one of the highest in the Caribbean, drops some 83 meters into a large jade-colored cold pool hugged by terrain covered with tall pine and green ebony trees. The journey of approximately 10 kilometers to the waterfall is an adventurous and fun ascent, an all-terrain vehicle is needed, through the deep forests of Constance and the hut-filled mountain villages, passing fields of sweet corn, potatoes and carrots. Pedestrian bridges and a wooden platform allow you to observe it from close up, and you can descend further to lower pools. This area is also ideal for bird watching and mountain hiking. Temperatures are low in this area, particularly in the mornings when they drop below zero and from November to March you should be careful when entering the cold water due to the risk of hypothermia.
